Key Questions to Ask DiggerBit About a Digging Tool

If you have never used a digging drill bit before or you would like to upgrade an auger you currently have, you may have specific questions before finalising your purchase. Here are some common examples of questions that we field:

  • How soon will I receive my order?: We realise that you will want to start using your auger as quickly as possible. Upon receipt of your order, we post/courier same or following day. You will also be emailed your tracking number upon processing address label.
  • Is the auger strong enough to break through a rock?: Although our auger can dig through compact soil, we do not recommend using it to drill through rock. An alternative would be to use your auger to loosen up the dirt around the rock so that you have more flexibility to move it out of the way. For harder soil, to prevent kickback, it is recommended to us a drill with a side arm attachment.
  • Do I need anything other than a cordless power drill to use the auger?: No. We recommend that you use a cordless drill that has at least an 18-volt battery. When using the auger, you should always use it at the lowest speed to start with and adjust it as needed. Again, a drill with a sidearm is advisable for harder soils.

Tips for Getting More Value Out of Auger Diggers

Our team is always on the lookout for ways that will help you to get more bang for your buck when you purchase one of our tools. Some helpful tips to keep in mind include:

  • Considering buying more than one size: To accommodate the different planting needs, we always recommend that you think about ordering augers in various sizes. For example, our 3×7 DiggerBit Garden Digging Auger is perfect for shifting soil for larger bulbs while the 3×12 DiggerBit Planting Auger is well-suited for digging deeper holes in a vegetable garden. • Ask about our warranty: If anything happens to your auger, be sure to contact us regarding our lifetime local warranty. Additionally, if you receive your order and there are any issues with it or it simply doesn’t meet your needs, be sure to let us know within 30 days .
  • Take precautions: Although our auger is 100 percent safe to use, we recommend that you always take certain precautions, including wearing safety glasses and gloves and always keeping two hands on your drill during use, and in harder or rocky soils, a sidearm is recommended.
