For harder soil, to prevent kickback, it is recommended to us a drill with a side arm attachment.
- Do I need anything other than a cordless power drill to use the auger?: No. We recommend that you use a cordless drill that has at least an 18-volt battery. When using the auger, you should always use it at the lowest speed to start with and adjust it as needed. Again, a drill with a sidearm is advisable for harder soils.
